Kyong Ko Carvajal, age 67, of Savanna, Illinois, died Monday, August 7, 2006 at Big Meadows Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2006 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. Reverend Kyuil Lee of the Grace Korean Church, Moline, Illinois will officiate. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2006 prior to service at the Funeral Home in Savanna. Burial will take place in Springlake Cemetery, Savanna.
Kyong was born February 15, 1939, in Japan. She married Rafael Carvajal, in Mt. Carroll, Illinois on November 13, 1973. Kyong enjoyed taking care of her husband and her home. She also enjoyed gardening and loved to travel.
Kyong is survived by her husband, Rafael Carvajal of Savanna; two step daughters, Sylvia (Frank) Bennett, of Texas, and Esther Carper, of Washington; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
