Kenneth G. Ford, age 71, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on Saturday June 16, 2007 in Edina, Minnesota. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday June 22, 2007 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna, Illinois. Fr. Dennis Atto will officiate. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Savanna. Military rites will be accorded by the Savanna Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2223. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. prior to the Mass. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity in Ken’s name.
Ken was born on October 16, 1935 in the Ancon Canal Zone, Panama, the son of Donald and Hazel (Coates) Ford. Ken attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Savanna and then Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tennessee. Ken later served his country with the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
On June 8, 1964 Ken married Patricia Ingersoll in Ocala, Florida. Ken worked for the Milwaukee Road Railroad for 10 years; was a self employed Business Consultant in Chicago for many years and retired from ConAgra as a Logistics Manager. Ken and Patricia were currently residing in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. Ken loved golf and landscaping.
Ken will be dearly missed by his wife, Patricia, his daughter, Shelli Ford of Lakeville, Minnesota; four nephews, Bobby Ford, Doug Ingersoll, Todd Mills, Lucas Ingersoll; two nieces, Connie Ingersoll and Janet (Ingersoll) Kaufman.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Ford; a niece, Brenda (Ford) Brown; and nephews, Michael, Gary and David Ingersoll.
