Kenneth J. Alexander

Kenneth J. Alexander 73, of Shannon passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8th, 2019 at home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Bethel United Methodist Church, Shannon. A memorial gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial of Ashes will take place in Shannon Cemetery.

Ken was born September 10th, 1945 in Freeport, IL to Kenneth and Shirlee (Meyers) Alexander. He graduated from Shannon High School in 1963. He graduated from NIU in 1969 where he received his B.A, in Mathematics and Computer Science; Post Graduate Studies and was NASD licensed, Series 63, 6 and 7.

Ken owned and operated Alexander Tax Service in Mt. Carroll, IL and was a member of the Rotary Club and the Masons.

Survivors include his sisters Georgia R. Alexander, Alexis (Rich) Etchberger. Two nephews Kris (Brenda) Etchberger, Ryan (Carissa) Etchberger, and one niece Jodie (Josh) Day. Five great nephews; Jacob Reuscher; Tyler Etchberger, Jayden & Jordan Day and Tayden Etchberger. Two great nieces Karlee Etchberger and Dasia Etchberger.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Shirlee Alexander and niece Stephanie Etchberger.
