Kelly was born August 28, 1962 in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Jeanese (Wallace) Vesperman. She attended Savanna Schools. After high school, Kelly became a Park Ranger at the Mississippi Palisades State Park. She later went to work for Elkay, where she worked for 25 years. Currently, she was employed by Walmart. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling league, cooking (especially with her sisters), recently took up gardening but her most cherished and favorite time spent was being active in the lives of her friends and family. She was a highly organized, very optimistic lady who loved many.
Most of all, Kelly’s life was centered around her family. She truly cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, and would call her sisters nearly every day just to talk through life’s happenings. She is described by her family as an “amazing, loving, selfless, determined, hard-working, always on the go mother/grandmother/sister/friend who was just an all-around remarkable lady.” And although the good Lord has called her home sooner than we expected, we can find peace knowing she is reunited with God and her loved ones, on the other side.
Kelly will be dearly missed by her three children, Dustin Behrens, of Mt. Carroll, IL, Jessica Behrens, of Savanna, IL, and Chris Behrens, of Milledgeville, IL; three grandchildren, Nico Sisler, Keelin Sisler, and Violet; three sisters, Susan Mulvihill, Beverly Bailey, and Elaine Valdivia; two brothers, Bradley (Sandy) Vesperman and Gary Versperman; a very special friend, Jack Orr; nieces, Stacey (Jim) Collachia, Trisha (Travis) Glazier, and Bonnie (James Carter) Valdivia; nephews, Aaron (Deb Robinson) Valdivia, Nick Valdivia, Luke Vedder, Tony Vedder, and Ryan (Shelby) Vedder; loving friend, Joshua Sisler; and many great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Kelly is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Jeanese; siblings, Russell Vesperman, Douglas Vesperman, Phyllis Vesperman, and Christine Vesperman; and brother-in-law, Jerry Mulvihill.
