Keith E. Wilkinson

Keith E. Wilkinson, age 93, of Milledgeville, Illinois, died Sunday, April 22, 2007, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Mt. Carroll, Illinois. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Bethel Cemetery, Milledgeville, Illinois. Reverend Russell Gordon of the Church of the Brethren, Milledgeville, Illinois will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by the Milledgeville American Legion Post #553.

Keith was born on January 10, 1914, in Fairhaven Township, Illinois, the son of Earl and Mattie (Philips) Wilkinson. After High School he served in the United States Army and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. Keith married Alberta R. Bushman in Milledgeville, Illinois on March 26, 1962. Alberta died on January 14, 1999. He was employed at the Savanna Army Depot, Savanna, Illinois for many years.

Keith was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Milledgeville, Illinois where he taught Sunday school for several years, and a member of Oakville Country Club, Mt. Carroll, Illinois where he was the Club Champion Golfer. He won the Sandburr Classic Golf Tournament at Lynnwood Links Golf Course, Thomson, Illinois. Keith also enjoyed bowling and was an enthusiastic Chicago Cubs Baseball Fan.

Keith is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers; Harry Wilkinson, Roy Wilkinson, and Wayne Drake, three sisters; Alice Pauley, Ruby Green, and Dolly Wilkinson.
