Kathleen Rose McCall, better known as Kathy, left her fingerprints behind on everyone she met. Her heart was too big to keep all to herself; she was known for making everything, and everyone feel special.
Kathy was born March 14th, 1954, in Cuba City to Geneva Wand and is preceeded in death by her father, Cleland J. Altfillisch. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Dale E. McCall, whom she married on July 7th, 1972, at St. Mary’s Church in Elizabeth, Illinois. Together, they welcomed three daughters: Aimee L. McCall, Tammy (David) L. Winter, Lisa (Timothy) L. Wuebben, as well as claimed Ashley (Jason) Sites.
Kathy wasn’t only a devoted and caring mother but also an incredible grandmother. Known respectively as both Gram and Granny, she has 7 biological grandchildren, Nicholas J. Hanson, Olivia C. Winter, Jenna P. Hanson, Judas A. Benson, Thomas D. Winter, Riley M. McCall; 3 step-grandchildren, Coral E. Wuebben, Zachary M. Wuebben, Autumn (Xavier) A. Watson, as well as 2 claimed grandchildren, Kylie Sites, and Parker Sites. She is preceeded in death by her grandson Cody M. Benson.
Kathy was a very involved member of the community, spending lots of her time working at the Elizabeth State Bank and Guy's Towing in Galena, Illinois. She was also an Associate Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, a Financial Committee member at St. Mary's Church, as well as a former member of the Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce.
Kathy was known as 'the busiest retired person'. She enjoyed scrapbooking, playing poker, walking her dog, Rocky, going to Las Vegas with her girls, year-round, Christmas shopping, listening to Elvis Presley, as well as calling her children and grandchildren at every hour of the day.
