Katie was born on November 3, 1977 to Lyle and Mary (Fletchic) Althoff. She attended Eastland High School, graduating with the class of 1995. After graduation she began her adult life of working and raising children.
She married Steve Hooper on December 20, 1995 and together they had Taylor Hooper. She then married Rick Warner on June 17, 2006 and together they had Madison Warner and Austin Warner.
To know Katie was to love Katie. Her heart was big and she was there for anyone who needed her. She treasured her fur babies, wearing flip flops in all weather or being barefoot. She enjoyed reading, had a love for baking, cooking, music, her friends and anything that involved time with her children. Her home was a place she took great pride in. Playful, selfless, sweet, thoughtful, giving, spicy, energetic, determined, spirited, independent, hard working, and loving are just a few words that describe the spirit of Katie.
She worked many places over the years, but in the most recent years Cub Foods, Walmart Vision Center and Jerod’s Bar and Grill is where she spent her time. She always worked hard and became invested in the lives of those she worked with. Later in life she became a grandma(Bapi) and her heart overflowed with joy. Lakey was the joy, fun, and life of her world. That sweet girl had her grandma’s heart and she was her pride and joy.

Carrol, IL,mother Mary (Jon) Matthews of Lanark, IL, brother Jeff (Alissa) Althoff of Byron, IL, sister Kristina (Jason) Powell of Pittsford, NY, sister Amanda Booth of Clinton, IA, sister Nicole (Adam) Pickel of Dubuque, IA, her children Taylor (Tyler Burke) Hooper of Lena, IL, Madison (Durelle Brown) Warner of Lanark, IL, Austin (Jayden Bartlett) Warner of Lanark, IL, step-son Cody (Michaela) Hooper of Newcastle, Pennsylvania, her precious granddaughter Lakelyn Brown of Lanark, IL, her Grandma Margaret Althoff of Mt.
