June Elaine Bimm

June Elaine Bimm, age 72, of Thomson, Illinois died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at home. A funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday February 16, 2013, at Law Jones Funeral Home in Savanna, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 3:00- 6:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the Law-Jones funeral Home in Savanna. Memorials may be made in June’s name for the Carroll County Humane Society.
June was born August 13, 1940 in Savanna, Illinois, the daughter of Grant and Lassetta (Dauphin) Grimm. She attended Savanna and Mt. Carroll schools. On November 12, 1975, June married John Bimm at The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa.
June was a member of the Savanna Women’s Club. She enjoyed time spent on the river, fishing, traveling, going to the casino, cooking, and playing cards. She cared about all animals and loved spending time with family and friends. She worked as a Beautician, Mail Carrier and Bookkeeper. June is remembered for her happiness, her strength in spirit, and her strong will, even through the difficult times in life.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 37 years, John Bimm of Thomson; four daughters, Donna Houzenga of Savanna, Sheryl (Ron) Sipe of Savanna, Terri (Mark Fellows) Bimm of Chicago, and Chris (Pat) Foltz of Thomson; one son Mike (Donna) Mangler of Savanna; eleven grandchildren, Travis, Nyssa, Kaler and Devin Houzenga, Aaron (Leonda) Sipe, Megan (fiancé Justin Ferguson) Sipe, Ryan, Kayla and Brandon Kaufman, Jon and Alicia Foltz; six great- grandchildren Lilianna, Aspen, and Jasper Houzenga, Taylor and Kody Sipe, and Delaney Ferguson; two brothers Jim (Georgie) Seitz of Dumfries, Virginia and Joe (Rena) Seitz of Caledonia, Michigan. June is preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Lessetta (Joe) Seitz; and her father, Grant Grimm.
