Judy Maupin

Judy K. Maupin, age 63, of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, died Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Fairview Nursing Plaza in Rockford. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2007 in the Springlake Cemetery, rural Savanna. Pastor Wayne Carvell from Church on a Hill in Savanna will officiate. A memorial fund has been established in Judy’s memory.
Judy was born on September 9, 1943 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Harry Glenn and Gertrude M. (Fowler) Fleck. Judy married Harold J. Maupin on December 6, 1980 in Princeton, Illinois. Harold passed away on August 4, 2006.
Judy worked as a Preparatory Cook for Burger King Restaurant in Janesville, Wisconsin. She was also a past member of the Church on a Hill in Savanna. She enjoyed baking, sewing, painting and crafts. Judy loved watching movies, her favorite actor was Clint Eastwood. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Daphne and her daughters’ cat, Applejack. Most of all Judy loved spending time with her family.
Judy will be deeply missed by one son, Markley J. Maupin; and one daughter, Joy M. Maupin both of Savanna; and several nieces and nephews. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold and one grandson, Brandon.
