Joyce "Fred" Radtke

Joyce F. “Fred” Radtke, age 88, of Chicago Ridge, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at the Harbor Crest Nursing Facility in Fulton, Illinois. A Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2007, in the Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois.
Fred was born on November 30, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Julius and Aileen (Stahl) Radtke. He graduated from Tillman High School in Chicago, Illinois and later attended an Aeronautical School. He served his country in the United States Army Air Force from 1940 – 1945. Fred married Ruby L. Grey on May 5, 1948.
Fred was a Design Engineer. He was a Longtime member of the Chicago Ridge V.F.W. Post # 177 in Chicago Ridge and was also a Past Comander of the Disabled Veterans Association. He enjoyed model trains and cooking. Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby.
