Josephine G. Endorf, age 93, a resident of Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt. Carroll, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, passed away, Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Freeport Memorial Hospital, Freeport, Illinois. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna. Father Moises Apostol will be Celebrant. Josephine will be buried next to her husband in St. John Cemetery in Savanna. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna where there will also be a Scripture Wake Service Monday evening at 7:30 p.m., conducted by Father Moises Apostol.
Josephine was born December 25, 1912, the daughter of Carol and Carmela (Basile) Iovinelli in Savanna, Illinois. On August 30, 1931 Josephine married Frank C. Endorf in Savanna, Illinois. Josephine was a homemaker and also kept books for her husband who owned and operated Frank’s Barber Shop in Savanna, Illinois for many years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna where she was also a member of the Women’s Catholic Society. Josephine was known to be an excellent cook. Josephine loved and very much enjoyed her family; they were the greatest joy of her life.
Josephine will be deeply missed by her two sons; Carl (JoAnn) Endord of Barrington, Illinois, Robert (Charlotte) Endorf of Cincinnati, Ohio; her sister, Helen (Rudy) Gaimari of Elmwood Park, Illinois; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Frank III & William Endorf, two brothers, Carman & Tony Iovinelli, two sisters, Mary Fanelli & Ann Dorriti.
