Jon “Mike” M. Goldhagen, 54, of Schaumburg, Illinois, died on Thursday, September 10, 2009, at his home in Schaumburg. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at the Church of St. Mary in Elizabeth, Illinois. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Elizabeth. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Jon was born on October 8, 1954, in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Christopher and Mary (Switzer) Goldhagen. He graduated from Hanover High School in 1972, and earned a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Illinois.
Jon worked for Quasar and currently for Topy Precision Manufacturing as a Mechanical Engineer. He was an avid golfer.
Jon is survived by his mother, Mary Goldhagen of Aurora, Illinois; one sister, Christy Goldhagen of Aurora; and four aunts, Betty Coale of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ramona (Charles) Philpot of Vandalia, Illinois, Barbara (Tom) Mixon of Houston, Texas, and Shirley (“Buddy”) Perkins of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Jon was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Christopher Goldhagen.
