John “Jack” H. Reagan, 64, of Savanna, IL, died Sunday, Sept. 16, at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, followed by Full Military Rites at 7:00 p.m.
Jack was born August 1, 1948, in Savanna, the son of John and Esther (Haskett) Reagan. Jack attended Savanna High School, graduating with the Class of 1966. He enlisted in the Army in 1967, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from the Army in 1987 with the Rank of Master Sergeant. After retirement he worked at the Savanna Army Depot for ten years. On November 11, 2000, Jack married Cheryl (Thompson) Tracy in Sedona, Arizona.
Jack was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #409, as well as the American Legion, and the National Rifle Association. He loved spending his time with his wife, friends and family—especially his grandchildren. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed woodworking.
Jack is survived by his wife, Cheryl; five children: Michelle (Trey) Rodgers; John “Michael” (Michele) Reagan; John “J.D.” (Jennifer) Reagan; Patrick “Kelly” (Lara) McCombie; and Tony (Curtis) McCombie-Hockman; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia (Steve) Hisler; and Micky (Bruce) Hoegh.
