John Robert Lindsay, age 51, of Lanark, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 in the Lanark City Cemetery.
John was born November 6, 1966, in Freeport, the son of Robert and Carol (Lotz) Lindsay. He attended Lanark High School.
John worked as a bus driver for Eastland School District and served as Supervisor for five years. He also enjoyed helping Pat with the car wash in Lanark. John built a home in Lanark in 2008. He loved spending time with his family and watching his nephew, Kobe and niece, Mackenzie play sports. He enjoyed snowmobiling and watching NASCAR racing.
John will be dearly missed by his parents, Robert and Carol Lindsay of Lanark; his brother, Shawn (Mindy) Lindsay of Mt. Carroll; a nephew Kobe Lindsay, and niece Mackenzie Lindsay, both of Mt. Carroll. John is preceded in death by his grandparents.
