John R. Hamm

John R. Hamm 2-15-1959 to 3-16-2022. John was born to Carl and Ruby Hamm in Clinton, IA. John was an avid outdoorsman, and for a great part of his life found an immense amount of joy in his career as a truck driver, especially while employed with Stoecker's Trucking of Fulton, IL. His love and passion for the road would, in his later part of life, funnel into newly found faith and importance of family. John and his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Brenda Hamm, would have both faith and family tested as he faced and overcame a variety of different health issues.

In January, however, John was diagnosed with covid 19. After an almost month-long hospitalization and a short time in skilled care, John passed. John's amazing life came to peaceful end early Wednesday March 16, 2022. His passing coming only one month before his 31st wedding anniversary.

He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Hamm, son Matthew James and his wife Sarah James, their three girls Aubrey, Brynlee, and Blakely James. Son Scott James and wife McKinsey James and their son Scott James Jr., Brother Keith and Mike Hamm. John is proceeded in death by his mother and father, and his sister Carla Coughlin, brother Phillip Hamm, brother-in-law Jeff Bixby and his beloved uncle Raymond Remmery. John will forever be loved and missed by his family. May he rest always in paradise.
