A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 11 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, in Savanna. Visitation will be held at Law Jones Funeral Home, in Savanna, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, June 10, as well as from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. before Tuesday’s Mass.
Jack was born December 4, 1950 in Hazel Green, WI, the son of Earl and Mary (Richmond) Chadwick. He attended grade school in Hazel Green before his family moved to Savanna for his high school years.
On July 10, 1976, Jack married Diane Fuller. Before starting with Elkay Manufacturing Jack worked for the CNW railroad for nine years. In 1977, Jack and Diane bought some farmland just outside Savanna, and built their home. Always an incredibly hard worker, Jack spent 27 years with Elkay, all the while working his farm, making hay and tending to his beef cow/calf herd.
When he wasn’t hard at work Jack spent much of his time with his beloved Diane; playing cards with their friends, or going dancing. He valued family time with his 10 siblings and lived just down the road from his parents. Hunting, fishing, and even playing his guitar always brought him joy and relaxation.
Jack is survived by his wife of 47 years, Diane; children, Bobbie Straight, Korena Pienta, and Vincent Chadwick; multiple grandchildren; eight siblings: Vivian Chadwick, Janice (Ron) Deyo, Kenneth (Sharon) Chadwick, James (Joy) Chadwick, David (Cecelia) Chadwick, MaryAnn (Dave) Williams, Bill Chadwick, and Joyce Marken; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary; brother, Thomas Chadwick; and sister, Ruth McColley.
