Jessica “Louie” Pagor, age 27, an imaginative writer of three published love, murder-mystery novels, dedicated to being curious, building relationships, working hard, and loving her family, passed from this life peacefully, Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the UW Hospitals, Madison, Wisconsin, after fighting a sudden illness. A celebration of life gathering will be held 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, Illinois.
Jessica was born February 16, 1991 in St. Charles, Illinois. She attended River Ridge High School and graduated with the Class of 2009. After high school, Jessica attended college at the University of Wisconsin in Platteville with a vocal emphasis and a piano minor. Then, years later, she dabbled in a cosmetology program at the Paul Mitchell school in Madison, Wisconsin.
Jessica was a very imaginative person who loved reading and writing. She started her writing as a hobby in 2003 at the age of 12 when she wrote her first unpublished book titled, “Heaven” for her grandfather. It was then that she knew she wanted to pursue writing even more, with the love of storytelling and being the creator of her own world. She would later go on to have three of her love, murder mystery novels published on Amazon, and was in the process of writing her fourth.
Jessica was a determined and motivated individual. She taught herself how to play keyboard and guitar. She worked at McDonald’s in Galena for four years, working her way up to shift manager. She later worked at the Cheese Factory in Platteville, and then as a Lyft driver in the Madison area for three years.
Jessica was a very social person who enjoyed talking to people and telling stories. She was very expressive when telling stories, and loved to make people laugh. She was always on the phone talking with her mom and grandmother. Jessica was very caring and would go out of her way to make sure that others were alright. Whenever a storm was coming, she would call her grandmother who was afraid of storms and comfort her until the storm passed.
Jessica will be dearly missed by her mother and father, Pamela (Mike) Penisten of Hanover, Illinois; her grandmother, Donna Rhodes of Hanover; grandparents, Ted (Billie) Penisten of Platteville, Wisconsin; two sisters, Rebecca Penisten of Tampa, Florida and Jackie Pagor of Galena; a nephew, Bentley Jacob, and her two cats, Patches and Lela. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim Rhodes in 2003, Aunt Selina Rhodes in 2017 and Aunt Christine Miller in 2013.
