Jesse V. Warfield

Jesse V. Warfield, age 82, of Mount Carroll, Illinois, died Thursday, October 26, 2006, at the St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mount Carroll, Illinois. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakhill Cemetery in Mount Carroll, Illinois. A general memorial fund has been established in Jesse's memory.
Jesse was born on January 3, 1924, the son of Jesse and Bertha (Eley) Warfield in Mount Carroll. He attended Mount Carroll High School and graduated with the class of 1942. Jesse married Donna Spencer on June 1, 1948 in the Mount Carroll Methodist Church Parsonage. He served in Europe for the Army Air Corp from 1942-1945 and he later worked in the Mount Carroll post office from 1945-1955. Jesse was the owner of Warfield Heating in Mount Carroll for over 50 years. He enjoyed watching Mount Carroll High School Athletic events and also liked to bowl. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Donna of Mount Carroll; two sons, Bob Warfield of Mount Carroll, and Jim (Jessica) Warfield of Mount Carroll; one daughter, Jena (Kim) Bienash of Selmer, Tennessee; six grandchildren and one sister, Virginia Kittleson of Peoria, Illinois. Jesse is preceded in death by one sister, Francis Martin.
