Jesse D. Foley, Jr., age 54, of Savanna, IL, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family. A celebration of Jesse’s life will be planned in the coming weeks. Family and friends are invited to share in Jesse’s life at lawjonesfuneralhome.com.
Jesse was born May 3, 1968, in Clinton, IA, the son of Jesse and Margaret (Peters) Foley, Sr. He grew up in Savanna, and graduated from Savanna High School. Afterwards, he began working in construction, something he would continue in one way or another throughout most of his life. Jesse also had stints working for Elkay, Argo Rubber, and Timken Drives, out of Fulton, IL. On July 5, 2014, after many years together, Jesse married Goldie Cross.
Jesse had a passion for building anything and everything, and for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He’d ride his Harley all over our corner of the world; anywhere where he could go fast! When he wasn’t on his Harley, he was probably playing Ozzy Osborne just loud enough for everyone to hear, or riding his lawn mower. Mowing the lawn always brought him peace. Jesse was a fun-loving and friendly guy; friendly to his buddies, friendly to his family, and 420 friendly.
Jesse will be dearly missed by his wife, Goldie; mother, Margaret Foley, of Savanna; children, Ashley (Jake Armstong) Foley, Charlie Cross, and Jeremiah Foley, all of Savanna; nephew (raised like a son), Martin Wecker; grandson, Dustin Armstrong; sister, Traci Foley, of Savanna; and nephews, Ryan and Dylan Osborn. Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Foley, Sr.
