Jerry L. Hockersmith, age 74 of Hanover, Illinois died on Sunday, February 28 2010 at the Lena Living Center, Lena, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Hanover, Illinois. Friends may call from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in Jerry’s memory.
Jerry was born on April 10, 1935 in New Albany, Indiana where he graduated from New Albany High School. After school, Jerry worked various jobs for several different companies. He was an excellent carpenter and loved working on cars. Jerry married Bessie A. Hockersmith on January 11, 1959 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
