Jenny Dewey

Jenny L. Dewey, age 54, of Savanna, Illinois, died on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Illinois. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Assembly of God Church in Savanna, Illinois. Pastor Gary Abney will officiate. Interment will be in the Savanna Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jenny’s memory.

Jenny was born on June 10, 1953, the daughter of Charles and Marian (Bowman) Dewey, in Savanna, Illinois. She attended Savanna schools and graduated from the Savanna High School in 1971.

Jenny worked as a line worker for several area factories, but in her spare time loved cooking and grilling. She also loved to spend time with her dog “Lady”, and most of all loved her friends and church family.

Jenny is survived by her mother Marian of Savanna, Illinois; a sister in-law, Norma, of Chadwick; and two uncles, Ray Bowman and David (Joan) Bowman, both of Clinton, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her father and her brother Ron.
