Jennifer L. Morlock, of Rockford, IL, formerly of Thomson, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 29, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. Funeral Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 9, at the United Methodist Church in Thomson. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Jenny was born March 2, 1981, daughter of Bobbie Moore and Melodie Bailey. She grew up in Thomson, attending Thomson schools and playing softball. In 2001 Jenny met the love of her life, Jay Morlock. The couple knew pretty quick that they were right for each other. Together, Jenny and Jay were together for 21 years.
In her free time Jenny liked to draw and color. She was the kindest person you could ever meet, and would do anything for family, friends, or even a stranger. She always cared for people, especially her three sons. Family was at the center of Jenny’s life. She put her sons and the rest of her family first. Even when facing her own challenges and struggles, Jenny put the needs of her family before her own, and she never expected anything in return.
Jennifer will be dearly missed by her husband, Jay Morlock of Rockford, IL; three sons, Jared Knight of Rockford, Dawson Morlock of Savanna, and Reece Morlock of Savanna; mother, Melodie Bailey of Savanna; sister, Becky Hobbs of West Branch, MI, formerly of Fulton, IL; grandmother, Diane Wilkinson of Mt. Carroll; Ken and Nancy Howard of Forestville, NY; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles
Jennifer is preceded in death by her father, Bobbie Moore; grandfather, Gene Wilkinson; grandmother, DeLene Palmer; and her great-grandparents, Vaughn and Mary McGinnis, and Donald and Inez Howard.
