Jennie G. Vesely

Jennie G. Vesely, age 97, of Savanna, Illinois, died Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Savanna Bible Church, Savanna, Illinois. Burial will be in Savanna Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday, September 22, 2006. Jennie was born April 14, 1909 in Tell, Wisconsin, the daughter of Louis and Elva (Fosdick) Reed. She married Raymond Vesely on January 21, 1929 in Winona, Minnesota. Raymond passed away on February 27, 1970.
Jennie was a supervisor at the Savanna Garment Company in Savanna, Illinois and was also employed as an assembler at the Eaton Corporation in Hanover, Illinois. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and was also an excellent cook. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jennie is survived by one daughter, Esther Goss of Savanna, Illinois and one daughter in-law Ada Vesely of Savanna, Illinois; she will also be missed my many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jennie is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; two sons, Gene and Donald Vesely; one grand daughter Susan Vesely; one great grandson, Samuel Olson; and three sisters, Viola Lechler, Lorraine Demeester and Margaret Reed
