Jean Deal

Jean Deal, age 86, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Mt. Carroll. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2005, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Mt. Carroll. Reverend Mark Harkness of the Mt. Carroll United Methodist Church will officiate. There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2005, at the nursing home, prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Morseville Cemetery, Stockton, Illinois. Memorials may be given in Jean’s memory. Services are being provided by Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll.

Jean was born May 3, 1919 in Stockton, Illinois, the daughter of George and Christena (Niemann) Tyrrell. Jean was the eldest of four girls and three boys. She was briefly married in 1951 to Adam Deal, they divorced in 1952.

Jean worked in Elderly Care in private homes and hospitals, performing housekeeping and care giving duties. She was a member of the Woodland United Brethren Church in rural Mt. Carroll. She enjoyed being with people and sharing in their life stories. Jean was a kind and caring friend. She loved animals, enjoyed bird watching and listening to music. Jean sang "You are my Sunshine" everyday, she truly loved life.
