Janice M. (O'Meara) Felton

Janice M. (O’Meara) Felton, 69, a resident of Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, Illinois, formerly of 1730 Visaleea Drive, Dubuque, Iowa died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 in the nursing home. There will no services or burial. She chose to donate her body to University of Iowa College of Medicine for scientific purposes. A Janice M. Felton Memorial has been established.
Janice was born April 30, 1936, the daughter of W.Louis and Eleanor (Jaeger) O’Meara. She graduated from the Visitation Academy in Dubuque, Class of 1954. On November 12, 1955, Janice married John G. Felton at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dubuque. John died on February 28, 1998.
Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved cats; listening to music and spending time with her family. Janice loved to laugh and had a good sense of humor. She very much enjoyed crocheting, eating her favorite chocolate or simply a dish of ice cream.
Janice will be dearly missed by her daughter, Patty Schap of Dubuque; three sons, Mike (Nancy) Felton of Monticello, Iowa, Steve (Lorie) Felton and Tom Felton, all of Dubuque; ten grandchildren; and her favorite Aunt, Virginia Kramer of Dubuque.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John.
