Janelle C. Williams, age 39, of Elizabeth, Illinois, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at her home. A private Funeral Mass will be held and burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Elizabeth, Illinois. A memorial fund has been established in Janelle’s memory for her children.
Janelle was born April 24, 1968, the daughter of Merle and Mary (Steien) Krogman in Monroe, Wisconsin. She graduated from Stockton High School, Stockton, Illinois, with the Class of 1986. Janelle received a Floral Design Certificate from Highland Community College, Freeport, Illinois.
Janelle most recently worked as a Florist for the Elizabeth Market. She enjoyed working in retail, she worked for JC Penney in Freeport and various retail businesses in the Elizabeth area. Janelle was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Elizabeth. She enjoyed basketball and soccer, and loved attending her children’s sporting events. Janelle also enjoyed dancing and singing. Most of all, Janelle loved spending time with her children and laughing with her sisters.
Janelle will be dearly missed by one son, Christopher R. Williams of Elizabeth; one daughter, Carissa M. Williams of Elizabeth; her parents Merle and Mary Krogman of Stockton; three sisters, Karoline (John) Broge of Winslow, Illinois; Kathy (Mark) Hesselbacher of Apple River, Illinois, Janet (Mark) Wehrenberg of Lena, Illinois; special friend, Michael Dunbar of Hazel Green, Wisconsin and maternal grandmother; Leverna Steien of Freeport, Illinois.
Janelle was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
