James Bradley, age 59, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Savanna. A memorial fund has been established.
James was born May 22, 1958, the son of Wesley and Mary (Rivera) Bradley in Savanna. He attended Hoover High School in San Diego, California and graduated with the Class of 1977.
James worked at Rolling Hills Progress Center in Lanark, Illinois for 10 years. He loved watching westerns (John Wayne was his favorite actor), and any of Chuck Norris’ movies. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing checkers, family get-togethers and participating in Special Olympics Basketball. His favorite snacks were chocolate bars and Pepsi.
James will be dearly missed by three brothers, John Bradley of Savanna, Paul Bradley of Mount Vernon, Washington, and David Bradley of Savanna; three sisters, Teresa Venson of Savanna, Toni Bradley of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Jody (Jim) Bradley Huffman of East Falmouth, Massachusetts; 15 nieces and nephews, and 17 great nieces and nephews.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Mary, and a brother, James Paul Bradley.
