James L. Borror, age 66, of Miles, Iowa, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at his home in Miles. Cremation rites will be accorded. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date in Newland, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to James’ family.
James was born July 6, 1942, in Smithboro, Illinois, the son of Louis and Lorain Borror. He was united in marriage to Carmen K. Milder on September 24, 1985, in Brazil, Indiana. James worked as a heavy machinery operator for Story Construction throughout Iowa. He enjoyed writing songs and playing the guitar, as well as hunting and fishing.
James is survived by his wife Carmen K. Borror of Newland, North Carolina; two daughters, Jeannie (Timothy) Wise of Newland, and Dawn (Clinton) Clawson of Banner Elk, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; three brothers, three sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, Sarah Nicole Clawson.
