Ivan J. Jones, age 44, of, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Ohio. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Green’s Tap, 522 main Street, Savanna. Online condolences may be left for the family at

Ivan was born on February 15, 1974 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Andrew Curl and Agnes Jones. He attended Savanna Schools and, as a child, Ivan attended Bible School. He enjoyed working jobs, fixing machines, and working on AC units for hotels. Ivan loved camping, cooking, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Ivan will be dearly missed by one daughter, Ashley Jones of Clinton, Iowa; his mother, Agnes Jones of Savanna, Illinois; one brother, De Andrea Jones of Clinton; a sister, Stacy Buman of Freeport, Illinois; grandmother, Savannah Jones of Mt. Carroll; and aunt, Donna Morehead Jones of Savanna.
Ivan is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Curl; Eavin Jones; one brother, Cliff Franklin Cox; his Aunt Rose; Aunt Polly; Nathan Jones; and his great-grandmother, Ceile.
