Irma L. Randecker, age 96, of Mount Carroll, Illinois died Monday, August 20, 2012 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Mt. Carroll. She was born October 8, 1915 in Savanna, Illinois, the daughter of John and Rozina (Hoffman) Dangel. On October 11, 1933, Irma married George M. Randecker. He died November 7, 1994 in Freeport, Illinois.
Irma spent the majority of her married life as a homemaker, taking care of the family house and farm. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, canning produce from her garden, cooking and baking.
Irma is survived by six children, Ruby Pearson, of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Carl (Kathy) Randecker, of Hampshire, Illinois, Donna (Doug) Wierema, of Woodbine, Illinois, Ruth (Clarence) Axmark, of Belvidere, Illinois, Gary (Gloria) Randecker, and Fred (Sherry) Randecker, both of Mt. Carroll; one daughter in-law, Gesila Randecker of Beatty, Nevada; one son in-law, Bill Patterson of Polo, Illinois; 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and two great-great granddaughters.
Irma is preceded in death by both parents; her husband; one brother, Ward Dangel; two sisters, Mary Albrecht and Muriel Norman; one daughter, Lucille Patterson; one son, Martin Randecker; and a son in-law, Ted Pearson.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, in Mt. Carroll. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll.
