Idella G. Hall, age 90, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mount Carroll. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mount Carroll. Reverend Mark Harkness of the Mt. Carroll United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Lanark Cemetery in Lanark, Illinois. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the funeral home, prior to the service. Idella was born in Rock Creek Township, south of Lanark, Illinois on July 16, 1916, the daughter of Roy and Hattie (Wingerd) Harmon. She worked for General Electric in Morrison, Illinois for 27 years. Idella also worked in sales and as a tour guide for Sager Tours for 20 years. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Mount Carroll. Idella enjoyed traveling and watching the Mississippi River. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Idella will be dearly missed by five nephews, Russell (Betty) Harmon of Necedah, Wisconsin, Tom (Beverly) Harmon of Chadwick, Illinois, Clifford Harmon of Polo, Illinois, Matthew Harmon of Leaf River, Illinois and Daniel (LaVerne) Miller of Sabula, Iowa; five nieces, Joretta (Arthur) Wolf of Milledgeville, Illinois, Judy Scribner of Milledgeville, Barbara (William) Baughman of Milledgeville, Elaine (Terry) Schreiner of Chadwick, and Eva (Steven) Smith of Orlando, Florida; seventeen grand nieces and nephews and twenty seven great-grand nieces and nephews.
Idella was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Wayne, Clyde, Lawrence and Galen.
