Haylee Hovis

February 8, 1993 — January 16, 2016

Haylee “Peanut” Hovis loved being a Mom to Raelynn, dearly loved her companion Scott Link and was looking forward to the birth of their next child this summer. Haylee (22), Scott (26), Raelynn(1), and their expectant baby to be born, all were sadly taken from us on Saturday morning, January 16, 2016 as the result of a single vehicle accident near Hanover, Illinois. A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Memorials may be given in their memory.
Haylee was born February 8, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the daughter of Kevin and Julie (Worden) Hovis. She grew up in Savanna and attended West Carroll Schools. On January 17, 2014, Haylee and Scott began their life together.
On January 5, 2015, their daughter, Raelynn was born. She enjoyed being a “Mommy”, and was looking forward to expecting a new baby this summer. She loved to laugh and have fun with her family. She could be described as complex and onry at times, but immensely loved Scott and thought of themselves as “sidekicks,” driving on the back roads and listening to country music. Her nieces and nephews were very important to her. Haylee also worked as a server at Poopy’s in Savanna.
Haylee leaves this world alongside her companion, Scott Link and daughter, Raelynn, and an expectant baby to be born. She will be dearly missed by her mother, Julie Hovis of Savanna; Illinois; two sisters, Courtnee Worden (fiancé Garrett Eberle) of Savanna and Laycee Hovis (Companion Chris Antilla) of Port Huron, Michigan; one brother, Kevin Hovis (companion Breiann Hatt) of Savanna; four nieces and nephews, Corry, Gunner, Kohen and Kaylee; her maternal grandmother, Diane Powell of Port Huron, Michigan; and all of Scott’s family. Haylee is preceded in death by her father, Kevin Hovis; Brother, Jason Hovis, and her maternal grandfather, William Worden.
