Greg Holland

Gregory Allen (Pettera) Holland, age 21, of Hanover, Illinois, died on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hanover. Father Stanislaw Kos will officiate. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. There will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. during the visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family in Greg’s memory.
Greg was born July 12, 1984, the son of John and Marie (Pettera) Holland, in Galena, Illinois. Greg graduated from the Dennison Academy in 2003. He enjoyed music, golf, video games, billiards, reading and playing the Electric Guitar.

Greg will be deeply missed by his parents; John and Marie Holland of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; one sister, Jill Elizabeth (Shermonte) Brooks of Plano, Texas; a nephew, Jordan Brooks; Uncle Robert (Elizabeth) Holland of Downers Grove, Illinois; two Aunts, Mary (Tom) Shassberger and Carol (Mike) Blinstrub of Orange Park, Florida; and two Uncles and five Aunts and many cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents.
