Glenn William Groezinger, 63, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Temple, Texas with his mother and sister by his side.
Glenn was born January 23, 1951 in Savanna City Hospital to Glenn John and Dorothy Louise (Smith) Groezinger. Glenn attended the Community Church Sunday School, Avenue Grade School and graduated from Savanna High School in 1969, where he was active in band, track and football. He received a BS degree in Microbiology from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida in 1973.
After graduating, Glenn worked for the Federal Government on a scientific project in Tampa, Florida. Upon completion of the project, he worked for a transportation company in Tampa. Glenn and his mother moved to Temple, Texas after the death of his father, where he was employed at the Scott and White memorial Hospital for over 15 years, retiring as a financial representative in 2013. Glenn was a kind and gentle man, possessing a quick wit, and many varied interests.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father on December 19, 1989, his grandparents, three aunts and one cousin. He is survived by his mother and sister, Janann, of Temple, Texas, four aunts and several cousins.
Services were held at Law-Jones Funeral Home, by Parson John Emery on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 with burial in the family plot at Savanna Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to your local animal shelter or charity of choice.
