Gladys C. Krabbenhoft, age 90, of Coralville, Iowa, formerly of Miles, Iowa died on Monday, January 30, 2006 at Windmill Manor, Coralville, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the United Presbyterian Church, Miles, Iowa with Pastor Bill Warhover officiating. Burial will be in Miles City Cemetery in Miles, IA. Friends may call from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006 prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family in Gladys name.
Gladys was born September 11, 1915, the daughter of John and Wilhelmina (Clausen) Frahm in rural Teeds Grove, IA. She graduated from Miles High School, class of 1933. On October 17, 1945, Gladys married Clifton G. Krabbenhoft in the Miles Congregational Church. Clifton died on December 26, 1988.
Gladys was a homemaker and a member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 60 years. She was a member of the Prebyterian Church in Miles, Iowa for over 60 years. Gladys enjoyed playing cards, baking and completing word search puzzles. She was also an avid fan of University of Iowa basketball and loved spending time with her family most of all.
Gladys will be deeply missed by her son, Clint Krabbenhoft of Coralville, Iowa; 3 nieces, Phyllis Kammerer of Grinnell, Iowa, Wanda Brechler of Denver, Colorado and Donna (Herb) Lister of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton; one son, Neal; one brother, Marvin Frahm and one sister, Marie A. Thomsen.
