Gerald Randall

Gerald “Jerry“ E. Randall, age 60, of Savanna, Illinois, died Thursday, October 14, 2010, at his home in Savanna. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2010, at the Law - Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Private family interment will be on Monday, October 18. Memorials may be directed to the family in Jerry’s memory. Jerry was born December 6, 1949, in Savanna, Illinois, the son of George and Grace (Chafer) Randall. He graduated from Savanna High School with the Class of 1968. Jerry worked for Helle’s sawmill for several years, as well as J&L Gas Station in Savanna. Most recently he worked for Swiss Colony in Savanna, and was especially fond of working with all of his friends there. Jerry was an avid sports fan, he loved the Chicago Bears and Cubs. He also enjoyed watching all genres of movies and was a fan of Professional Wrestling. Jerry is survived and lovingly remembered by two sisters, Mary (Marty) Gilmore of Savanna, Illinois, and Sandy (Larry) Chrest of Sabula, Iowa; three brothers, Joseph Allen (Roberta) Randall of Savanna, Robert Randall of Savanna, and William Randall of Savanna; three nieces, Angela, Holly and Candy; two nephews, Troy and Jeremy; and several great nieces and nephews.Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother and one sister, Edward and Ellen, at birth.
