George Osborn, age 75, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, January 1st, 2020 at Big Meadows Nursing Home, in Savanna. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4th, at 12:00 p.m., at Law Jones funeral Home in Savanna, with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. that same Saturday.
George was born May 11, 1944, in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Harrison and Charlotte (Helle) Osborn. On August 17, 1978, George married Alice Negus. They celebrated 33 years of marriage until Alice’s passing in 2012. George worked for 30 years as a line worker for Kelly Springfield in Freeport, Illinois. In his spare time George raised miniature horses, and would show them at different events.
George will be dearly missed by his son Derek Osborn, of Savanna; daughter Debra (Buck) Robinson of Savanna; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and one sister, Crystal (Roger) Lovejoy of Denver, Colorado. George is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice, and two sisters; Sharon Bearce of Savanna, and Carol Anderson of Wisconsin.
