George Delbert Isenhart, age 81, of Savanna, Illinois, died Friday, November 1, 2008, at Big Meadows Nursing Facility, Savanna. Cremation Rites will be accorded. Private family burial will take place in Grand Detour Cemetery, Grand Detour, Illinois at a later date.
George was born on August 20, 1927 in Sterling, Illinois, he was one of twenty-two children born to George D. and Mildred (Shook) Isenhart Sr. He was employed at Lawrence Brothers in Sterling, Illinois as a Janitor for forty-three years. George enjoyed sitting outside, playing his harmonica and waiving at cars as they drove by. He also loved taking long walks, fishing, swimming, and watching old westerns. But most of all he cherished spending time with his friends.
George will be dearly missed by one sister, Carol (Dave) Hoge of Mount Carroll, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by twenty brothers and sisters.
