Gary T. Ganek

Gary T. Ganek, age 68, of Ingleside, Illinois died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Gary was born August 22, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Thaddeus “Ted” and Florence (Kallgren) Ganek. He attended Mundelein Schools, Mundelein, Illinois and graduated with the Class of 1963. Gary served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Debra Jennings in 1982 in Lake Villa, Illinois. Debra died September 28, 2002.
Gary worked as a carpenter for 20 years until his retirement. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, camping, carving decoys, telling stories and anything water-related. Most of all, Gary treasured spending time with his family and friends.Gary will be dearly missed by his daughter, Bridget (Eric) Dauphin of Mt. Carroll; two grandchildren, Lindsay and Lauren Dauphin; and one sister, Gail (Bruce) Prehm of Friendship, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his wife Debra; his parents Ted and Florence; a brother Gregg, and one sister, Ginger.
