Francis "Frank" Feller

Francis “Frank” Feller, age 76, of Spragueville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa where he had been receiving care for two years. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Preston with a visitation held prior to the Mass from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Preston. A memorial fund has been established in Frank’s honor.

Frank was born April 3, 1942, in Spragueville, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Mamie (Trenkamp) Feller. He attended Country School in Spragueville, and also attended Preston High School. On November 15, 1965, Frank married Nancy Anderson. They were married until 2002.

Frank worked at Central Steel in Camanche, Iowa until it closed. He then worked at Precision Metal Works in Maquoketa until retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and going on walks.

Frank will be dearly missed by his two sons Clark (Heather) Feller of Iowa City, Iowa and Richard (Yomiko) Feller of Fortworth, Texas; daughter Renee (Richard) Gerardy of Maquoketa, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Jeremiah (Elisabeth) Gerardy, Kayla Gerardy, Jessica Gerardy, Sarah Feller, Hannah Feller, and Erika Feller; four brothers, Eugene (Donita) Feller and Edward (Alice) Feller, both of Preston, Bernard (Kathy) Feller of Camanche, and Henry Feller of Spragueville; two sisters, Kathleen Feller of Spragueville and Donna of Phoenix Arizona. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mamie.
