Frances M. Wills, age 88, of Hanover, Illinois, died on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Waverly Place Nursing Facility, Stockton, Illinois. A funeral service will be held from 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover, Illinois. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at the funeral home.
Frances was born May 5, 1929 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Ruth (Redman) Mendoza. After high school, Frances worked in several restaurants and a licorice factory in Dubuque. On October 14, 1961, Frances married Wayne Wills in Elizabeth. They have celebrated 56 years of marriage and raised three children.
Frances worked forty-four years for Eaton Corporation in Hanover, reaching the position of Quality Control Inspector for incoming parts. She was a very generous and adventurous person. Throughout the years, Frances enjoyed traveling, especially on bus trips, her favorite being the Eastern US and Canada tour. She also enjoyed canning, cooking, collecting spoons and angels, and loved animals. Most of all, she enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren. Frances was a member of the Hanover United Methodist Church.
Frances will be dearly missed by her husband, Wayne of Hanover, Illinois; a daughter, Alita Ballard of Hanover, two sons, Kevin (Janet) Wills of Streamwood, Illinois and Douglas (Laura) Wills of Huntley, Illinois; six grandchildren, Leann Schuman, Joshua (Deana) Rampson, Amanda and Trevor Wills, Brianna Wills and Garrett Loughran; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Dwight.
