Frances A. Roberts

Frances A. Roberts age 89, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society of Mt. Carroll. A funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery in Mt. Carroll. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established in Frances’ memory.
Frances was born September 28, 1926, in Mt. Carroll the daughter of George and Luva (Arb) Asay. She attended Mt. Carroll High School and graduated with the Class of 1944. Frances married the love of her life Paul H. Roberts on April 29, 1956 in Mt. Carroll. They celebrated fifty-six years together. Paul passed away April 2, 2013.
Frances farmed with her husband for many years on the family farm. She loved being able to be a homemaker for her family. Frances enjoyed music and dancing. Most of all, Frances enjoyed the memories that where made while traveling to the Lake of the Ozarks with her husband.
Frances is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Jamie (Tracey) Roberts of Hudson, Florida, Jeff Roberts of Mt. Carroll; daughter, Peggy (Robert) Schultz of Double Springs of Alabama. Frances is preceded in death by her husband Paul, one brother, Lyle Asay and three sisters, Lucille Asay, Doris Asay and Dorothy Bennett.
