Frances Marie "Fran" Geoghegan

Frances Marie “Fran” Geoghegan, age 72, of Palatine, Illinois passed away Wednesday,
September 7, 2022 at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, Illinois. A private
family service will be held, with burial of ashes in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown, Rhode
Island.
Frances was born February 16, 1950 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, one of five daughters of John
F. and Audrey B. (Edge) Andrade. She was a 1968 graduate of Pilgrim High School, Warwick, RI.
Frances then attended Brown University majoring in Liberal Arts.
Fran was kind and generous. She loved books, often passing along a good-read to friends and family. She also loved to travel and lived in Rhode Island, Arizona, North Carolina and Illinois. Her favorite trip was adventuring in Ireland with her husband John.
In 1975 Frances married Nicholas Eugene Lauritzen. They had a son Nick. Fran later married Peter E. Mills in 1983 at Hanover, IL, and they had a daughter Robin and a son Peter. Later, Fran married John Geoghegan in 1999. They celebrated 14 years of marriage until John's passing in 2013.
Fran leaves her children, Nicholas Lauritzen of Bellevue, IA; a daughter, Robin (Nick) Figiel of Palatine, IL and a son, Peter L. (Malinda) Mills of Dixon, IL; 4 grandchildren; and her sisters, Sonya Stewart of Joliet, IL, Audrey Migneault of Wallingford, CT, Martha Mello of Carolina, RI, and Robin Andrade of Valparaiso, IN. She is preceded in death by her husband, John and both parents.
