Florence Bicker

CLINTON – Florence Bicker, 90, formerly of Clinton, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, Ill. A visitation will be held from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Mt. Carroll. Burial will be in the Lanark Cemetery, Lanark, Ill. Pastor Tom Loyola will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Charles Traum, Kenneth Traum, Denny Longnecker, Duane St. Ores, Ron Johnson and Jeff Snyder.
She was born Aug. 13, 1924, in Lanark to Charles and Emma (Traum) Ditsworth. She was educated in Lanark schools.
Florence married Merle Bicker on Jan. 12, 1942, in Canton, Mo. He died Feb. 13, 1990.
She and her husband owned and operated Bicker's TV Service in Lyons District in Clinton for 25 years.
She enjoyed playing the organ and playing cards. She also enjoyed going to dances with her husband.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Peg) Bicker of Clinton and Dennis (Sharon) Bicker of Albany, Ill.; three granddaughters, Cheri (Alan) Gardner, Wendy Bicker and Angie (Mike) Gabriel; one great-grandson; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Irene St. Ores and Ruth Ditsworth, and one brother, Ralph Ditsworth. Death date: Dec. 27, 2014
