Kay F. Saltow

Kay F. Saltow, age 84, formerly of Savanna, IL, passed away at Allure Nursing Home, of Mt. Carroll, IL, on January 30, 2026. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Kay was born July 12, 1941, in Savanna, the daughter of Harry and Helen (Thulen) Saltow. She graduated from Savanna High School with the class of 1960. She began working for Eaton Corporation in 1969, remaining there until her retirement.

Kay loved gathering with friends for a game of cards, or a good meal. She was a longtime member of the Savanna Moose Lodge, and was known to take day trips to local casinos. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing, and she always had an affinity for horses.

Kay is survived by her brother, Joseph “Roy” (Dori) Saltow, of Fort Worth, TX; niece, Christina Newbauer; as well as a dear friend, Cindy Law. She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Helen.
