Evelyn Heidenreich

Evelyn Heidenreich, age 85, of Elizabeth, Illinois passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2006 in the Galena-Stauss Hospital, Galena, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Grace Bible Church, Woodbine, Illinois, with Pastor Jeremy Yowell officiating. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Grace Bible Church. Burial will be in the Woodbine Cemetery, Woodbine, Illinois. Evelyn was born February 15, 1920 in rural Woodbine, Illinois, the daughter of L.V.B and Bertha (Guenzler) Atz. Evelyn attended Terrapin Ridge School. She married Dwight D. Heidenreich on August 10, 1940, in Maquoketa, Iowa. Dwight passed away on February 2, 1989.
Evelyn was a homemaker. She worked as a telephone operator in Woodbine, Illinois, and was the caretaker for Woodbine and Welsh Hollow Cemetery. Evelyn’s hobbies included playing the organ, gardening, and scrapbooking photos. She taught Sunday School at E.U.B. Church in Woodbine, Illinois.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by her brother-in-law, Allen (Diana) Heidenreich of Elizabeth, Illinois; three sisters-in-law, Elva Atz of Elizabeth, Illinois, Faye Heidenreich of Elizabeth, Illinois, Viola Heidenreich of Lena, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight, and one brother, Alvin Atz.
