Elizabeth "Betty" Morris

Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Morris was a lady who enjoyed the little things in life, especially thoughtful relationships with friends and family. At the age of 90, Betty passed into eternity Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at HCR Manor Care, Davenport, Iowa. A visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7pm at Law Jones Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30am at Law Jones Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Savanna Township Cemetery.
Betty was born May 29, 1923, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Erehdt) Grinnall, in Savanna. She attended Savanna High School and graduated with the Class of 1941. She married Donald Morris on November 13, 1943 in Savanna. Donald passed away February 3, 1975.
Betty worked for Eaton Corp. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, and was an active volunteer at the Savanna Food Pantry and Thrift Shop. Betty enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting and playing cards with friends and family.
Betty will be dearly missed by her daughter, Betty Mae Hurt of Bettendorf, Iowa; three sons, Donald (Carol) Morris of Truckee, California, James Morris of River Grove, Illinois, and Dick (Stacey) Morris of Peotone, Illinois; 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grand Children. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth, her husband, Donald, and two brothers, Albert and Louis (Mick).
