Elizabeth M. Erichson, 86, formerly of Miles, Iowa, died Monday, October 17, 2005, at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton, Iowa. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2005, at the Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston, Iowa, with the Reverend Bill Warhover officiating. Burial will be in the Miles Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m.on Thursday, October 20, 2005, at the Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home,Preston.
Elizabeth was born on June 25, 1919, near Miles, IA, the daughter of Morris and Bessie (Hoepner) Pedersen. She married Reynold Erichson on January 21,1945. Together they farmed near Miles for thirty-two years.Elizabeth graduated from Miles High School in 1937 as Valedictorian, and
later graduated from the Clinton School of Business. She was a wonderful homemaker whose favorite pastime was sewing for her children. She especially loved being with her grandchildren. With calm acceptance, she
took life in stride and will be sadly missed by the family who loved her deeply.Survivors include twin daughters, Leah (Gregg) Liddle of Dubuque, IA, and Laurel (Don) Gruhn of rural Clinton, IA; four grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Reynold, in 1977; one
sister, Gladys Hendrix in 1998; and one
granddaughter, Kelly Elizabeth Liddle in 1999.
The family extends their thanks to Sister Marcella Maria Narlock, Reverend Bill Warhover, Dr. Jergensen, the staff at Alverno Health Care Facility, Hospice, and the many people who showed kindness towards Elizabeth.
