Elaine Mae Ferry, age 71, of Lanark, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2019, reunited with her husband, Brian, who passed away February 17, 2019. The Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 with a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Luncheon will follow Service, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Faith Reformed Church in Lanark, Illinois. A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
Elaine was born on April 16, 1947 to Paul and Evelyn (Bellows) Singley in Freeport, Illinois. She attended Polo High School, graduating with the Class of 1965. On November 27, 1965, Elaine married Brian Ferry at the United Methodist Church in Brookville, Illinois. Together they celebrated 53 years of marriage and raised two children.
Elaine worked for Elkay Manufacturing in Lanark for over 20 years until her retirement. Elaine was a past member of Faith Reformed Church in Lanark. She enjoyed playing solitaire, caring for her dogs, cats and plants. She loved taking pictures of family and friends, attending county fairs with her husband and going for breakfast or coffee with her girlfriends. Elaine was an attentive mother and always made time to call her friends and family.
Elaine will be dearly missed by her two children, Donald Ferry of Lanark and Holly Fink of Mt. Morris, Illinois; three grandchildren, Travis Anderson, Gage Fink, and Madison Fink; two sisters, Christine Printz of Polo, Illinois, and Helen (Kevin) Mackey of Freeport; three brothers, Victor (Vicki) Singley of Freeport, Timothy (Edith) Singley of Brookville and Michael (Carla) Singley of Polo; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Peugh of Lanark and Jean Singley of Brookville, Illinois and several cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Brian; a son, Ronald, at birth; and one brother, James Singley.
