Edward A. Yaddof, age 79, of Bryant, Iowa, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Alverno Nursing Facility in Clinton, Iowa. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston, Iowa. Reverend Gregory Geier will officiate. A Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at the church. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery, Goose Lake, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established in Edward’s memory.

Edward was born on May 11, 1927, in Goose Lake, Iowa, the son of Edward C. and Ermy C. (Petersen) Yaddof. Edward graduated from Goose Lake High School. He married Yvonne N. Johannsen on May 27, 1956 in the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston. Yvonne died on January 17, 1991 at her home.

Edward farmed in Bryant, Iowa, throughout his entire life. He also worked for the Preston Hatchery and sold seed corn for Lowe’s and Payco. Edward was a lifetime member of the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was very involved with the church, and also served as Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was active in the Preston Lions Club, and was a past member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #363 in Clinton, Iowa. Edward received a plaque from the Red Cross for ten years of service as a blood drive coordinator. Edward and his wife enjoyed square dancing and were involved in various card clubs.

Edward is survived by one son, Bruce (Bonnie) Yaddof of Preston, Iowa; one daughter, Brenda (Wayne) Johnston of Clinton, Iowa; two granddaughters, Bridget (Cedric) Mullen of Omaha, Nebraska, Beth Yaddof of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one brother, Archie (Sue) Yaddof of Clinton; three sisters, Delores Wulf of Clinton, Lola Kamphius of Clinton, and LaVonne (Robert) Voss of Clinton; one sister-in-law, Margaret Yaddof of Bridgefield, Washington; and one aunt, Florence Kunau of Clinton.

Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne, and one brother, Eldon.
